Women's Bioethics is an independent online magazine about the questions modern medicine asks of women: how new treatments and technologies work, who they serve, what they cost, and who gets to decide. Our core beats are women's health, medical ethics, and the ways health data, genetics, and reproductive technology are changing everyday care.

Around that core we also publish practical guides on money, home, and daily life, because health decisions rarely arrive separated from financial ones. A knee replacement is also a bill; a career break is also a retirement question. The same standards apply across all of it: plain language, verifiable sources, and a clear line between guides, opinion, and fiction. Personal essays and short fiction live in our Stories section and are labeled as such.

Our writers publish under pen names; each author page says so and explains who stands behind the name. None of our writers are clinicians, and nothing on this site is medical or financial advice. We use AI tools to draft and update articles, with topic selection and review by people.
